Thank you, Sakai-san.  You were delightful and a pleasure to spend the afternoon with.  I learned so much.

Seminar Feedback

Building Bridges Between the USA and Japan

  • I just got back from my trip and wanted to send a thank you for all of your advice and the very informative seminar.  I truly feel that your insights and suggestions were really helpful and made the visit go much more smoothly.  Those subtle cultural tips allowed us to feel more prepared and fit into the environment as well as a gaijin can.  So thank you.

  • I took a class through Pacific Dreams' Building Bridges Seminar about "working with the Japanese" and found it very instructional. It helped me to understand where they are coming from and especially how to deal effectively with emails labeled "urgent urgent urgent" and other such details. Sometimes with these types of seminars you have to work hard to come up with takeaways and look deep to find how it applies to your daily work, but this course in particular was right on target.

  • Understanding the cultural differences is most helpful to assist in being respectful to associates, and this seminar gave me a good insight.

  • Great information on culture and business practices!

  • Well presented seminar!

Toyota Production System (TPS) and Kaizen Activities

  • I gained ability to see how TPS/Kaizen applies to any and all business, both manufacturing and non-manufacturing.

  • Learning Japanese perspective on LEAN activities was helpful.  Now I understand where it came from and why.
