Corporate History

June 1992

Registered in Oregon, U.S.A., under the name Pacific Dreams, Inc.
Ken Sakai is appointed President & CEO, and Eileen Sakai is appointed Vice President.


March 1996

Started full-scale operations and established an office in Salem, Oregon.
Started a technical translation and interpretation business, mainly for the semiconductor manufacturing industry with four (4) employees.


March 2001

Opened a second office in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Hillsboro office started operations with three (3) employees.


March 2002

Relocated the Salem office to a new location.
The new office started operations with six (6) employees.


March 2005

Combined Salem and Hillsboro offices and relocated to Wilsonville, Oregon.
Eleven (11) employees focused primarily on translation and localization services for the software and IT industries.


November 2008

Sold the localization operations to a Tokyo-based translation company (Toin Co., Ltd.)


July 2013

Moved to a new office in Wilsonville with four (4) employees to focus primarily on HR consulting and HR training/seminars for Japanese companies in the U.S.


As of January 2024

Continued to develop HR consulting and HR training/seminar business for Japanese companies in the U.S. with six (6) employees, currently serving approximately one hundred (100) Japanese companies across the U.S.
